Miller/Howard Strategic Indexes

Miller/Howard currently has two indexes:

Selection Criteria Update (MHDT): In revisiting the objectives of the Miller/Howard Strategic Dividend Index (“the Index”), we have elected to remove business development corporations (BDCs) from our pool of candidates for our investable universe. The Index is intended to capture the benefits of investing in dividend stocks with rising dividends and an operating growth profile that suggests rising dividends in the future. Legally, BDCs are closed-end investment companies rather than operating companies. It would not be expected that BDCs would have earnings, dividend, or growth profiles comparable to operating companies. It is with this understanding that this criteria update will be implemented going forward beginning with the Selection Date June 24, 2016.
